I’ve been trying to read different perspectives on the current massacre / violence in Nigeria and I came across this website. It has simple, pull-down menus that allow you to quickly access lists of newspapers with online versions in countries and regions around the world.
It seems straightforward enough and is certainly a useful way to quickly get a list of, say, South African newspapers that one can access online. A very nice feature is that it identifies which sites are in English.
The site has almost information about who maintains it or anything else, so it is difficult to judge its accuracy or intentions, but a bit of digging determined that is a project of Web Wombat – “Australia’s Original Internet Search Engine.” All I can say is, it looks like a great resource, and deserves a more serious looking website, one that makes it look more like a professional reference tool, with clear identifying information to reassure people of its validity and lack of bias or commercial slant.
